Saturday 3/07:
Restaraunt- Vertigo
What do we love? Delicious plant-based fare. What does Vertigo serve? Delicious plant-based fare. Discovering this gorgeous little eatery at its Cross Street location in the heart of the city was an absolute delight and the food is incredible. This is a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you’re in search of some top-class food and a relaxed atmosphere. Vertigo is the kind of place you could drop into during a day of shopping, receive a warm welcome, relax and expect to enjoy some quality dishes on your own or with a crowd.
Activity- Summer Rocks
This Saturday the whole family has the opportunity to step into space! Venture into an interactive journey around the solar system for hourly shows. This Saturday sees the beginning of a series of family-friendly events in the Rock center for those tired families seeking some respite from a hectic day of shopping with kids who deserve a treat! Be warned though, it operates on a first come first served basis and it will be in high demand on a weekend. The performance times can be changed in accordance with the weather but the predictions are clear skies for Saturday so we can remain hopeful!
Sunday 04/08
Restaraunt- Bundobust
Indian street food and craft beer, that’s a match made in heaven if you ask us! This little gem does simple things well and that’s the beauty of it. Specialising in south Indian-style small plates entirely friendly to those of us who prefer the plant-based diet. Awarded best restaurant at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards you would expect big prices but you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find this is a spot that won’t hurt your pockets, most dishes cost around £5 and you could order the whole menu for £65. That may sound like a novelty proposition but when you get a taste of their food you may well start considering it as an enticing option!
Activity- Telescope Walking Tour
The forecast is predicting sunshine and clear skies and this is the perfect event to spend a day outside unlike your usual Sunday. You’ll find out about how the Grade 1 listed Telescope works, explore its fascinating history and discover some of its ground-breaking research. It’s hosted by Jodrell Bank and the tour guides are patient and kind which is always a relief if you bring kids along. We should note that the talks are aimed at adults and children above ten but they do make a good effort to have the experience as accessible to all ages in a sincere way.
