Are you looking for the perfect topping for your burger?! Then our crisp fresh slaw with an amazing Asian style sesame & ginger dressing is the way to go. Stacked on top of our BBQ’ed Beetroot & Bean Burgers all served on a toasted bun, this is a winner!
4 STRONG ROOTS Beetroot & Bean Burgers
1 head of butter head lettuce
4 burger buns
1/4 head white cabbage, finely sliced
2 carrots, grated
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 red chill, diced
2 cm piece of ginger, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 tbsp of olive oil
1 tsp of sesame seeds
method (tick as you go)
Pre-heat the BBQ to a medium high temperature.
Place the Beetroot & Bean Burger on the pre-heated BBQ and cook for 6 minutes before turning over and cooking for a further 6 minutes.
Place all the sesame and ginger dressing ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth, set aside.
In a large bowl add the finely sliced cabbage and grated carrots to the sesame and ginger dressing.
Place some lettuce leaves and the STRONG ROOTS Burgers on each of the bun bases. Spoon over the Asian slaw and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
